Non Surgical Thread Vein Treatment

| What is it? |
- Tiny red thread veins can look unsightly, particularly if they appear on the cheeks, nose or legs
- Long term exposure to sun and wind, pregnancy, genetics, hormonal imbalances, disease or excessive alcohol consumption can all contribute to the development of thread veins

| What is involved? |
- At the Gatehouse Clinic, facial thread vein removal is usually carried out with short wave diathermy
- In some cases Intense Pulse Light laser is used to remove the veins
- The veins absorb the laser light and are destroyed
- Lasers can cause an uneven colour on darker skin, so treatment may not be suitable for people with brown or black skin tones.

- You can expect the treated area to fully heal within a week.
- Your thread veins will not reappear once they have been treated.
- However, other thread veins may appear in different areas if you are predisposed to them
